The 2026 Half Sovereign proof coin features the traditional George & Dragon design by Pistrucci on the reverse, used for over 200 years. The obverse of the coin features the official effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings. Per tradition, the 2026 Proof Half Sovereign is struck with 22-carat (916.7 fine) gold, and weighs 3.99 grams. This year’s coin marks the return of the series to a yellow gold alloy.
